13th May 2017 | On the occasion of 4th UN Global Road Safety Week 2017, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta & Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta jointly organized Traffic Awareness Program with the support of Kakarvitta Traffic at the premises of Hanuman Temple, Kakarvitta. On the program, Kakarvitta Traffic In-charge, Sub Inspector, Mr. Narayan Acharya & Deputy Superintend of Police Mr. Durgaraj Regmi explained how its important to follw the traffic rules in day to day life & how a minor carelessness can risk human lives. Its better to slow down & save lives rather then to risk the life of others & ownself by speeding up. President Elect of Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta, Rtr. Krishna Kafle informed all about the “dos & don’t” of the traffics rules. Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta, Rtr. Pema Tamang kept the welcome speech on behalf of the organizers & Assistant Governor, Rtn. Raju Maharjan thanked all in his Vote of Thanks to all the guest & participants. Rtn. Radeeka Gurung, President of Rotary Club of Kakarvitta highlighted the importance of program & Secretary Rtn. Sujan Pradhan conducted the program as Master of Ceremony. After the official program, the participant & organizers did a rally around the Kakarvitta Market, Bus Park & ended up on the Bhattarai Chowk, Barmel Tole. On 21st April 2017, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized Cancer Awareness & Life Style Management Orientation Program with the Support of Narayana Health, Kolkata India on the 2 different locations. Program at Aamdangi, Mechinagar-4, Jhapa, Nepal: Rotary Club of Kakarvitta conducted the Orientation Program with the support of Nawakiran Yuwa Pariwar at the premises of Nawakiran Yuwa Pariwar’s premises. All 3 doctors explained about the different types of cancer, symptoms, chances of cure and how can we protect us from cancer.  More than 150 local community people attended the program and interacted with the doctors about the problems & query. President of Nawakiran Yuwa Pariwar welcomed the doctors & the participants in his welcome speech where Rtn. Bimal Acharya, Member of Rotary Club of Kakarvitta informed about Rotary & kept the importance about the program. Past President Rtn, Dilip Subedi conducted the Orientation program being the intermediator between the doctors and the praticipants, President Rtn. On 13th January 2016, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta invited Dynamic Youth Leader Mr. Bishwa Prakash Sharma as the Guest Speaker in the Regular Weekly Meeting. Guest Speaker Mr. Sharma that he privileged to be get an opportunity as a Guest Speaker. He spoke about his upcoming project “1st National Heath Fair” (Pratham Rastriya Swastha Mahotsav) that is going to start from 21st Jan 2016 till 27th Jan 2016 at Itabhatta, Jhapa, Nepal. There will be the Specialist of all the disease for the treatment targeting from a new born baby till the old aged patient. He said this is his dream to make this project a nationwide program where every citizen of the country could be benefited. He also request Rotary & Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta to volunteer the program & extend the program reach till the every corner. On behalf of Rotary Club of Kakarvitta President Elect Rtn. On 12th September 2016, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized Generation Gap Orientation Program with the Support of Human Service Ashram (Manavsewa Ashram ), Hetaud. Past President Rtn. Dilip Subedi chaired the program & we had Dr. Govinda Tandon (Member secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust) as our Chief Guest. Chief Guest Dr. Tandon, enlightened the topic explaining about the current state between the generations. How today’s generation is being misguided in the name of religion & tradition. Today there is more value of a substance then the emotions. Lastly he concluded that, its only we that can come over & recover the gap between the generations & finally whole family, from grandfather till grandson will be dinning on the same table. Mr. Ramji Adhikari, Central President of Human Service Ashram (Manav Sewa Ashram) kept a short introduction about his organization. He also added that their organization is targeted to make our country as Neglected Human Free Street, where there will be no human suffering in the streets in lack of love & care. As the feedback of the Program, Social Activist, Mr. Krishna Prasad Uprety & President of Mahila Janchetna Kendra, Mrs Radha Pradhan Karki said that the is program went well & added few points to the topic from their side too. They were very grateful towards the club of organizing such events & inviting them as participants. President of Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta welcomed all with his welcome speech & Mrs. Maiya Prasai explained about the motive of the program. Chairman of the Program Rtn. On the 8th Sep 2016, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized a Municipality Level Inter Secondary School Quiz Competition at Mechi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Hall on the occasion of International Literacy Day. We had participants from 5 community schools, Shree Kawi Shiromani Higher Secondary School, Kakarvitta Higher Secondary School, Bal Kalyan Secondary School, Adarsha Higher Secondary School & Dhulabari Secondary School. We also had more than 60 students participating as audience form the respective schools. Quiz Contest was of 50 question, where Kakarvitta Higher Secondary School’s Asmita Rajat & NIrajan Sapkota was able to be the Winner with 90 points. Respectively, Amir Bhandari & Smriti Tamang from Balkalyan Secondary School stood 2nd with 65 points, Deepak Basnet & Bidhata Shrestha from Adarsha Higher Secondary School 3rd with 60 Points, Sailesh Gautam & Menuka Acharya from Dhulabari Higher Secondary School 4th with 50 Points & Narayan Gautam & Bidhya Pokhrel of Kawi Shiromani Higher Secondary School 5th with 40 Points. As feedback, Mr. Tulshi Prasad Sharma, Teacher of Kakarvitta Higher Secondary School & Mrs Rita Puri, teacher of Bal Kalyan Secondary School thanked the club for organizing such events to the community level schools. They also added that events like this will help a new prospective of life to the students to increase their skills beside their syllables. On the official program, Past President Rtn. Dilip Subedi kept the welcome speech defining the importance of Literacy & about the Rotary Activities where Program Coordinator Rtn. Mohan Niroula kept vote of Thanks thanking all the participants, students at the audience & the school for participating on the event & making it a huge success. President Rtn. Radeeka Gurung enlightened about the new vision of Rotary under the TEACH Program & Secretary Rtn. Sujan Pradhan conducted the whole event.

On the 27th Aug 2016, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized a Cancer Awareness Orientation Program with the Support of Medical Cancer Hospital, Rangapani, India at Dhulabari, Jhapa, Nepal. We had MD Senior, Cancer Specialist Dr. Sourav Guha & General Manager of the Hospital Mr. Tapas Das as our guests. Dr. Sourav Guha, presented a slide show explaining about the 2 major cancer in Nepal, Breast Cancer & Cervical Cancer. He explaining the reason of the Cancer & How can we prevent of being a victim. He also said about the symptoms of the Cancer & added that it is curable if it\’s detected in the early stage with all the treatment procedures. He also diagnosed few Cancer Patients & suggested them accordingly. On the Official program, President Rtn. Radeeka Gurung Chaired the program where Program Coordinator Rtn. Rabin Kumar Basnet presented the welcome speech on behalf of the club. Past President Rtn. Dilil Subedi spoke about the Rotary International & The Rotary Foundation. Founder President of Mechinagar Lady Jaycess Mrs. Kavita Sharma & The President of Nepal Red Cross Society, Dhulabari kept their feedbacks that the program was very informative & should be done in time to time. President Nominee Rtn. Ashok Kumar Shrestha kept the Vote of Thanks & Secretary Rtn. Sujan Pradhan conducted the program.
