The Rotary Club of Kakarvitta ceremoniously presented a Water Plant to Mechi Janasadharan Secondary School located in Ward No. 2 of Mechinagar Municipality, Jhapa, Nepal, on July 1st, 2023. The event was graced by the presence of Dipak Baral, the esteemed President of the ward, along with the Chair of the School Administration. This initiative falls under the umbrella of the Water & Sanitation Focus Area, reflecting the club’s commitment to addressing crucial community needs.
The Water Plant, comprising a Water Filtration Plant, Water Tank, and tap Stations, was meticulously installed with a budget exceeding NPR 3,00,000 (three lakhs only). This infrastructure upgrade promises to directly benefit over 500 students attending Mechi Janasadharan Secondary School.
Through collaborative efforts and dedicated resources, the Rotary Club of Kakarvitta has successfully executed this project, contributing significantly to enhancing access to clean water and promoting sanitation standards within the school community. This endeavor stands as a testament to Rotary’s unwavering dedication to service and its enduring impact on communities in need.
