On the 10th June 2016, We had an Club Assembly of our club on the presence of AG Rtn. Rajesh Shrestha (2015-16) & AG Rtn. Laxmi Maden Thebe (2016-17) at the house of Rtn. Dr. Anandraj Khanal\’s House. There we discussed about the activities we had done through out the year & did planing for the upcoming year & passed the full year calendar for the Rotary Year 2016-17.

On the 20th May 2016, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized a Pre-Induction Training as the initiation of forming a Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta. On the training 58 youths participated. As resource persons we had Rtn. Santosh Rijal (GSR & District Training Committee Chair, 2015-16), Rtr. Sarad Joshi (Charter President of Rotaract Club of Birtamode Midtown), Rtr. Birodh Subedi (Charter Secretary of Rotaract Club of Birtamode Midtown). Resource Persons enlightening about the History, Present State & the functionality of Rotaract Club. We also had a Video Session where we presented some clips about the Rotaract. Rtn. Santosh Rijal highlighted about the bonding between the Rotary & the Rotaract. After that we had a questionnaire round. On the Plenary Session, Rtn. Radeeka Gurung (President Elect of the club) welcomed all the guests & the participants where Rtn. Dilip Subedi (Past President of the club) shared information of the club & also kept Vote of Thanks. President Rtn. Raju Maharjan kept is words about how proud its is to be a part of Rotary Family & invited all with the open heart to be a part of it. Rtn. On 19th Dec 2015, Rota Quiz 2015-16 was held in Kakarvitta, where 4 clubs, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta, Rotary Club of Birtamode, Rotary Club of Damak, Rotary Club of Bhadrapur participated. Rotary Club of Damak was able to be the winner scoring 105 points where Rotary Club of Kakrvitta garbed the 1st Runner-up position scoring 65 points. Similarly Rotary Club of Birtamode became the 2nd Runner-up. Quiz was facilitated by the strong judge panel of Rtn. On 25th August 2015, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta organized a Cancer Awareness Orientation Program with the support of Medica Cancer Hospital, Rangapani, India. More than 60 stakeholders from the different organization participated the program. Doctors from the Medica Cancer Hospital Dr. Swapandu Basu (Chief Doctor) & Dr. Bipro Das Roi oriented the guest about the causes, symptoms & the treatment procedure of Cancer. They said how people neglect their day to day lifestyle which can cause to cancer. Mr. P. Rajkumar (CEO of Hospital) explained about the facilities that patients can get from their Hospital & also informed that they will do all the needful help they can, to the patients recommended by Rotary Club of Kakarvitta. Mrs. Bhuwan Subba & Mr Laxmi Prasad Uprety gave their feedback about the program that they are grateful to be a part this program. How they got a chance to know about the minor things that can avoid Cancer & what are the precautions. They also said that they were motivated towards the Rotary & its deeds. Rtn. Jagdish Acharya (Past AG) enlightened the program about the Rotary International. He informed about the goals, present state & future plans. Rtn. Keshavraj Pandey kept his welcome speech & Rtn. Rohit Budhathoki gave the Vote of Thanks where Secretary Rtn. Sujan Pradhan conducted the program. President Rtn. Raju Maharjan explained about the importance of the program.
