On 3rd October 2019, Rotary Club of Kakarvitta & Rotaract Club of Kakarvitta jointly distributed 35 Solar Lights & Sarees in the rural village of Guwal Basti, Mechinagar-15, Jhapa.
This Village lies beyond Mechi River which is the Border River for Nepal & India for east Nepal, & has no access of road, bridges & electricity. Despite being a village of Nepal they are totally cutoff from the Nepal. We had to reach there crossing the Mechi River on two different places.
Few months back Rotary Club of Kakarvitta had conducted a health camp on that place, where the villagers said that their children couldn\’t read due to lack of electricity & still uses kerosene lamp. So the club decided to distribute Solar Lights to them & believe this will help the children of that village for the better education.
